I'm using Firefox 113.0.2. I want to export my logins and passwords, but when I click the 'export' option, a Windows Security window opens asking for my Windows login. I don't have a Windows login set (no one else has access to my PC).

According to Firefox's own info, if you don't have a Windows password, the dialog asking for one shouldn't pop up.

I can't get past this and I've googled everything in sight. Does anyone else have a solution to this?

Thank you! Averill

Screen goes black when some videos play - audio continues, but screen is black. I am sire this is a Firefox problem - I have successfully watched videos using BING browser - same videos go black on Firefox. I have refreshed Firefox, cleared cache, restarted Firefox - cleaned cookies. Turned accelerator off then back on - because nothing changed. Does not do this with all videos, just some - some You Tube videos play, others do not. I have Windows 10 and McAfee Live Safe - all programs are current and up to dated.

Last week, mid-day one day, videos on YouTube suddenly all had a warm cast --yellowish for color, cream/beige for B&W. I have researched the issue as I can. It is not my Windows night light; my drivers and PC are apparently all updated; everything is working fine. I checked to see if the same happened with Vimeo videos and it did. I'm running W10.

Interestingly, the pop-up thumbnails one gets when hovering over the timeline as not affected; they look fine.
One post by someone else was answered that it was a GPU driver issue; another said it's only with HD videos.
I'm a B&W photographer and would really like to get back to normal again.
   Any ideas?

It doesn't ask what foder to download to even though I have FF set to ask where to download to in settings/general

I tried setting browser.download.improvements_to_download_panel to false as here https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1370494 but it didn't help

Hello, Firefox always downloads a pdf files from e-mail attachments, whether I open it in a browser or with acrobat reader. So, if I open the same file every time it goes to download folder with multiple clones, like example file-1, example file-2 etc. I've used every combination of options, but the result is always the same. I've refreshed Firefox, but nothing changed.

Please help me with this case.

I had to reinstall windows 10 (this was done by Microsoft with my permission) and so firefox was uninstalled (long with all apps). i have reinstalled Firefox, but can't retrieve my old bookmarks. I have a file of very old bookmarks, but the "import/restore" function doesn't restore or import using that file. Help please. Can the up to date bookmarks be retrieved from my uninstalled Firefox?

I am trying to move my mobile bookmarks from Firefox to Brave. I've synced them with no trouble from Firefox Android to desktop. I can see a folder in the Firefox bookmark manager called "mobile bookmarks", and it contains all my mobile bookmarks. From there, I can open them in Firefox, Brave, Edge, and Chrome. No problem.

When I click "Import and Backup", then "Export Bookmarks to HTML", I'm able to save the HTML file to whatever location I like - desktop, Downloads folder, etc. However, when I go to open the file, it only contains the Mozilla default bookmarks. None of the "Mobile bookmarks" folder is visible. The HTML file is only 11 kb.

Screenshots are attached. Using Firefox version 113.0.1.

FWIW, I've also tried directly importing the bookmarks to Brave using their import feature (not using an HTML file), and Brave does not recognize any bookmark files whatsoever from Firefox. Getting really frustrated.

This happens only on Firefox and Firefox Developer Edition on one of my PCs and not the other. Firefox is version 113.0.2 (64-bit) and DE is 114.0b9 (64-bit)

Anyone experienced this before?

I have a website that open pop-ups automatically using javascript. That is the expected behaviour of it. So I went into Firefox options and made an exception for that site. If I go to the site and wait so it can do its thing, it opens about a few of them, and then Firefox decides that the rule I have set up is garbage, and firefox decides to ignore it and block the pop-ups from the site.

Why?

Why on Earth does Firefox decides that he must do something against the rule that the user has set up. Why does it have this completely disrespect to the user settings?

I am honestly really mad at whoever decided that ignoring an exception from the user was the default behaviour.

Now, if someone knows enough what is going on they will tell me, go to about:config, go to this obscure command and change its value, value which I can't know without coming here and ask. If I create an exception, then I am in my right to expect that the browser should do exactly as the exception has been configured.

By the way I have tried with the troubleshooting mode and still happens.

Hello,

I am a developer on an emergency intervention hotline for sexual assault.

Firefox is now throwing up psuedo-modal advertisements for it's VPN above pages. See attached screenshot for example.

It is absolutely IMPERATIVE that our visitors do not receive these new modal advertisements that Firefox is throwing at them. What can I do to prevent Firefox's new browser-hijacking advertisements from showing up on our hotline pages?

I experienced this on Twitter, and it 100% was not part of the dom. It also greyed out the tab bar, and prevented me from opening the menu with alt. I know how to make it not show up anymore on my machine, but how can I prevent it from appearing on visitors to my website, who are in some of the most vulnerable times of their life.

I stupidly upgraded to the worst system in the world, Windows 11, and the silly animations caused serious strain on my device. How can I enable the loading page icon animation while keeping the system animation effects turned off?

The title pretty much sums it up. I even tried drastic measures such as logging out then completely uninstalling Firefox and removing any leftover data on both platforms. After reinstalling and connecting to the Firefox account they will sync with previous data but any new data I add on Windows won't show up on Android and vice versa. I also obviously tried forcing a sync manually... I really wish I didn't have to switch to another password manager any help would be greatly appreciated! :)
