When I play YouTube videos in Firefox, the video stutters and drops frames, even when set to 480p. The audio continues to play normally. This issue does not happen in Chrome on the same laptop.

The problem started about a week ago. I’m using Firefox on Windows 11. Restarting Firefox did not resolve the issue. I’ve attached screenshots for reference.

My credit card payment methods are missing from Firefox's settings. I tried enabling every relevant setting in about:config and still they won't appear. My current relevant settings are shown in the attached screenshot. any suggestions?

I have a password manager. It used to be when I would log into a website that the Password Manager would provide the information. Which was fine with me. Now it has stopped doing that and I do not know why.

Desktop Computer. Still on Windows 10.

Not sure of category. This began when I launched the computer today. I opened Firefox and got the message "The bookmarks and history system will not be functional because ....."

When I started to shut down the computer (first mentioned step here) I saw there's a Window update. I selected Update and Restart. That went okay, but still don't have my Firefox bookmarks.

So I clicked on Learn more. I found the Firefox > Profiles folder. There are two folders, one from today - qkuxm6ws.default-release - 15...... 0196 with 94 items, and 7ghfiw 15.default, from Jan 5, 2021, with 3 items. I assume I should use the one with today's date.

BUT .... from this point, the information on this website was full of information - NOT step-by-step information telling me what to do with which files in this folder.

Also, I have McAfee as well as Windows Defender. I opened Windows Defender Firewall. State is On. Notification state: Notify me when Windows Defender Firewall blocks a new app. I've gotten no such messages.

Under allowed apps and features:

 "Firefox ... private not checked; public checked.."  
 "Firefox (C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox" - private is checked, public not checked.  

Can't make changes.

Under Overview window: Not checked is "Inbound connections that do not match a rule are blocked."

• • • • In the "Monitoring\Firewall folder" - Firefox (with path) is listed twice. Both entries have Private, Allow, NO Override -
      • Differences - the first has UDP; the second has TCP. Nothing under "Group."

My last bookmarks backup was Jan 2025. 😕 😟

I have a new laptop and am using Firefox as my browser. But when I'm on Facebook, go to chats it says that video chat isn't supported by this browser. Does Firefox not allow this? I've tried going to permissions to allow Facebook to access my camera and microphone, but unable to do so. How do I use the video chat feature in Facebook chats?

If I don't use the custom adjustments in my Chrome css, seven buttons on that right side of the menubar are hidden, including the min-max close buttons.

This is problematic when I'm troubleshooting Firefox, and the css is disabled. If I want to close or take the browser out of max mode, I must move those buttons to the navbar, which has no such restriction accommodating those buttons, not to mention why is it necessary for that min-max close trio to monopolize 20% of the menubar. Waste of space. Inefficient.

I'm also curious why must that frame at the top of this sites pages remains persistent, and follows the user down the page, so that when you're composing, and accidentally (and all to often) touch one of those links, it get superimposed over the message, and you must move the cursor to the bottom of the page get rid of it. Not to mention, that frame shrinks the working area of the page about 30% vertically.

I mean, once you have already navigated to the destination page, and you're composing, how often/likely are you going to need to access that area?

I do not care it it’s optional. I do not care if there is a “kill switch”. Firefox should not be wasting it’s time on these features in the first place, as it has been nothing but an active detriment to the user experience on every platform on which it has been implemented. Nobody asked for this. Nobody wants this. I installed Firefox because I saw that it was different from other browsers, mainly in the way that it was not following the latest tech fads straight off a cliff. If the new leadership decides to change that, then I see no reason to stick around.

My firefox recently crashed (f5ea38ba-f4f8-4224-8ab8-982e19cc72f7) is the crash code if that helps it happened just now, i dont have any additional profiles and no folder such as "old firefox" is there any way i can recover all the information and my old settings or passwords or anything? I tried to log into my firefox account to sync up data but there was no update on the information

When I listen to music via Firefox, my computer goes into sleep mode after 15 minutes (windows close and password is required)^)^. I've looked everywhere to find a solution to this problem, but I can't find one... Can you help me?

I can no longer access my bank account login page. It says Error: Forbidden Your client does not have permission to get URL /login from this server. I can't find help and I'm totally frustrated. I AM NOT A COMPUTER TECH. I am just an end user and this is WAY WAY TOO COMPLICATED A PROCESS FOR ME
