OK. someone kindly offered me a new-to-me computer and claimed that they had transferred everything to the newish one. Well, what they did was take my umpteen gazillion desktop shortcuts and place them all in "bookmarks menu". EEK.` That's way too many. So I exported them to an html file/link/firefox internet shortcut on the desktop called "bookmarks.html". Worked swell. However, the bookmarks menu went along. It no longer appears under"bookmarks" on the menu bar. I was able to get it onto the toolbar. (star in tray). If I click on that, and then select "bookmarks sidebar", what appears in the sidebar is perfect. Just like new. But on the menu bar, on the dropdown menu under "bookmarks", no "bookmarks menu".

I can live with this BUT I really don't want to BECAUSE there are bizillion bookmarks in the bookmarks menu. I need to send them someplace (or gather them into a NEW folder, so that I can add newly created bookmarks and be all neat and organized.

How do I put the "bookmarks menu" that shows on the sidebar back under "bookmarks" ??? How do I get the bizillion bookmarks off of "bookmarks menu"? Is there a "select all", then "delete"? I don't want to lose the ones in the html folder on the desktop. I am happy with them being in an html folder on my desktop. Should I change the name of the html link to XYZ.html?

I just do not understand how the sidebar can look perfect but the menu bar doesn't.

Card autofill was working until recently, but now it's gone again. And the settings UI is gone as well. My about:config is set up correctly. See screenshots. My firefox version is Nighly 95.0a1 (2021-10-19) (64-bit)

I can't stream a meeting to Facebook live anymore. I get until the "Connect with Facebook" step, but no further. With Mozilla the page simply refreshes after the step "Connect to Facebook" and nothing happens.

Hi, I have a desktop with windows 10 64 bit. I have been using an add on called 'Flash Video Downloader' I have it on my laptop and LOVE it. Same version of Windows and Firefox on both devices. I can not find Flash Video Downloader on my desktop Firefox. I cannot find where to download or get it. Can you help me with this issue? Thank You PBob

Just installed Win 11 on a new SSD an dam having trouble downloading files. Some come down ok and others not. The attachment shows shows 2 Logitech files. I can download them with Chrome

I just switched to firefox today from Safari after years. But I am not having a good first impression at all. It constantly goes to Not responding, I've had to force close it like 20 times today already.

I only have two plugins installed and they are mainstream ones. (1password and ublock origin)

My bookmarks menu and all of my bookmarks have entirely disappeared. I haven't downloaded/upgraded anything; the only thing I've done to my computer is re-start it. What happened and how can I get my bookmarks back?

I cancelled my LinkedIn account about 5 years ago and haven't used it since then. I am therefore puzzled as to why it keeps showing up as having had a "data breach" and why this matters at all?! There was also some "data breach" in regard to a website for Avatars?! I have never heard of this website and can't imagine why I would ever use it! Why did this show up as a breach in my account?!

In regard to the specific accounts which have had a data breach, I have either cancelled them, deleted them, or have no memory of ever having used them in the first place. I have also changed my passwords for all of my email accounts, many times over the past 5 years, so again, I have no idea how information from a cancelled account could be of use to anyone. Can someone explain this to me?! Thank you!

While running Firefox browser in Windows10, every once in a while a 'sorry your Firefox has crashed' box pops up. Yet the browser is still running just fine. Any ideas?

How do i modify FF to fit page to monitor size. Right now when i click on website there is white space (approximately 2 inches each side for web page). Right now I have zoom set at 133% and it still does not fit page.

In the changes for Firefox 92, I see "The bookmark toolbar menus on macOS now follow Firefox visual styles." Is there a way to revert to the more compact view for these menus I am used to? I am using a MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2015) with macOS 11.1.

Sometime in the last 2-3 months, it has become impossible for me to use Firefox and Zoom concurrently on my Macbook Pro (2015). When I open a Firefox window during a Zoom meeting my meeting lags, almost freezes, and I get a beautiful spinning Mac rainbow. Eventually this subsides and I can exit Firefox and Zoom returns to function as usual. I am able to pair Chrome and Zoom together with no trouble. I would like to go back to using Firefox, but have had to temporarily switch to Zoom.

Any advice about how to get these two programs to play nice would be appreciated. Thanks!

I recently started having a problem composing an email message when using Windows Live Mail and wondered if anyone has experienced the same issue. Another person on the Microsoft Help Forum reported the same issue, also using Firefox. The issue is that while composing an email, the window suddenly jumps back to the Inbox. It is very intermittent so a little difficult to test out with other browsers I hate using. Another issue which does seem to be only happening with Firefox is inability to open attachments on the first try.

I have sync and it is working on my iphone, tablet but it is not working on my new mac when I sign in. It is pulling up my bookmarks from safari and I do not want that. I want the bookmarks that are on my firefox sync. I have troubleshot it and still having issues. Thank you!

Hello, A few months ago, Firefox has not been loading Youtube videos properly. The video just never loads. Debugging steps I have done.

1) Disabled Hardware Acceleration 2) Deleted all cookies & cache 3) Ran Firefox in Troubleshoot Mode 4) Uninstalled Firefox & Reinstalled 5) Not a part of my debug but I recently did a fresh install of windows on my computer and installed Firefox with the same issue. I do get videos to work on both Edge and Chrome

I am at a loss at this point and any helping hints would be useful. I have an inkling that it might be put to my playback device but it wouldn't explain why it plays just fine on other browsers.

Any ideas?

I am helping to manage Firefox (policies.json) for the large organisation/company. We do currently have policy with DisableTelemetry=true and would like to enable it but: - would like to have access to it - would like to execute some Data Science activities on that telemetry

Is that possible ?

Seems that tools like Looker, GAD or Measurement Dashboard of Firefox Public Data Report are showing only global statistics while we are interested in looking at "our" statistics only (around 100K endpoints).

Firefox menus (like downloads, extension popups or the 3 bars at the top right corner of the window) are very small in height (the width is normal), which makes them basically unusable. It's apparently happening when FF is on a monitor that is "zoomed in" (Settings > System > Display > Scale and layout > Change the size of apps, ... @ 125%). The monitor is 1920 x 1080 for 15". I'm on Windows 10 using Firefox Nightly (96.0a1) but it does the same thing with Firefox (94.0.2). Probably irrelevant but I'm using a colorways theme on both versions. When moving the window to another monitor, the menus appear in their normal sizes. Deactivating hardware acceleration did not help. Any kind of help is appreciated.
