Yesterday I received non-stop pop ups from <opb-protect.pro> on Firefox, and only Firefox. On going to <Permissions> I checked that I had turned on block pop-ups. It was turned on. But under notifications this sinister pop up had inserted itself as <Allowed>. It has inserted this; <https://d3ka84anaffc73c14rf0.opb-protect.pro>

I had now set that to <Block>. I mention this because this mob have managed to work around the Mozilla pop-up blocker.

thunderbird won't start after installation giving message that a version is already running. I end the task in task manager and it doesn't help, then restart with same erro. I tried deleting the parent.lock file from the profile and that didn't help. What next? Has anyone solved this issue?

My Thunderbird was not finding messages that I could see were there.

I followed the advice here https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/rebuilding-global-database.

I deleted the (large) global-messages-db.sqlite (I have been using Thunderbird for a long time - and I am monthly contributor).

The rebuild gets to a certain point and then stops (as indicated by Tools Activity Manager). Always at the same point. I guess there is a bad message in there somewhere. But now I am worse off than before.

I tried rebuilding several times. I have also compacted the account folders of the account that stopped and then tried rebuilding.

I have many years of messages in there and I need a functioning search. What can I do?

Tuesday Oct. 7, our ISP converted to a new e-mail program. I could NOT log in/on I called our ISP's help desk. The 'technician' could not help me log in to our Thunderbird POP 3 account. He had me, WITHOUT asking if I had essential - legal - medical-etc. e-mails in the IN BOX or in folders! He NEVER warned/cautioned all ?would? be lost - GONE.

I URGENTLY need to recover all TB POP3 IN BOX & e-mails in folders. I need to access legal messages today, if possible.

If Mozilla does not have a recovery program, what do I do? I am not seeking to recover ' deleted messages (unless his having me change from the POP3 account to a 'new' IMAP account is the same as ' "delete" '.

Have used Thunderbird for years and 2 years ago, my Cox service eliminated supporting their own emails server and now Yahoo supports. I am having a problem over the past 2 weeks where I click on my Thunderbird app to load the program and get emails, and it times out after about a minute every time I try to log in. I have deleted the Thunderbird account and tried to add a new account, and it continues to time out every time.

What am I doing wrong?

I noticed when I went to check for updates the Fire Fox Browser is, Windows MSIX Package Mozilla, MSIX 1.0 143.0.1 (64 bit). What is this and why? Do I need to uninstall this version of Fire Fox and reinstall a new one? If so, how do I do that without loosing all my data. Thanks for your help!

We've successfully set up a Hotmail account as an IMAP account; all the emails/folders seem to appear properly, though deletions made on Outlook.com don't seem to show up.

But for now, we have this problem: none of the contacts from the Hotmail account appear in the Thunderbird address book.

How can we (1) get those contacts and (2) keep them up to date, preferably automatically.

My bookmarks on my laptop has lost 90% of my bookmarks. I try to sync with my PC but nothing happens and the laptop remains the same. I've tried closing the browser and logout and login again but nothing changes. I've turn of the laptop and turning on still nothing. How can I be log in and see a different layout, it doesn't make any sense. The only thing I have change on this laptop is down loaded a new version of CClean. Which I have already done the day before on my PC. I've attached a copy of both screens 743 is from my PC and the other 534 is from my laptop.

I want to close one of my email accounts but it is the one to which Thunderbird sends me emails, such as info about updates etc. I don't want to close the account and then find I get no information from Thunderbird. How can I change the email address that you use for me?

My Spectrum password was changed and now I cannot get direct access to TB. For some reason TB is not linking up with Spectrum password. Hello...I'm currently having a problem with Yahoo Mail having too many messages in the account, and as a result, I cannot receive new mail in my Yahoo account. It was suggested to use Thunderbird to download everything from my Yahoo Mail account. I've downloaded Thunderbird, set up the server parameters as instructed, and it appears to have downloaded (synchronized) everything just as it appears in my Yahoo Mail account, via iMap. I would like to currently (temporarily) stop Thunderbird from downloading and synchronizing with my Yahoo Mail account so that I can sort through and delete/save/organize what's been downloaded into Thunderbird, and delete everything in my Yahoo Mail account so that I can resume receiving new mail messages in my Yahoo Mail account. I like the Thunderbird app so far and am considering using it as a one stop app for all of my online email accounts...Yahoo, Gmail, etc. I apologize for taking up time and space for this question, as I'm presuming it's something pretty simple to do, but for some reason, I'm just not seeing how to do this in Thunderbird Settings. Can someone please guide me on how to do this? I used iMap to download/synchronize my Yahoo Mail with Thunderbird. Thanks in advance!!

I have an email account through Moxilla Thunderbird and I can only access earlier emails through the webmail account. I want to be ble to see ALL my email messages by clicking on Moxilla Thunderbird icon on my computer. PLEASE HELP!

Dear Sir/Madam, Recently I have been having issues accessing a particular website named asus.com for reasons I am unable to discern I keep receiving an error message each time I attempt to access the site. I keep receiving an error message indicating that the site cannot be reached. It should be noted that I do not have any issues with any other websites. I use the same e-mail address on my desktop and my Samsung android phone. I was told to change my desktop e-mail from POP3 to IMAP which I did and then told by the Thunderbird desktop forum to change also my phone settings from POP3 to IMAP. I was told in order to do that I needed to create a new account first and then delete the old account.

However, when I go into server settings and I put in my e-mail address from my desktop, it states "e-mail address already in use". Clearly I do not want to create a new e-mail address - just use the same e-mail address that is on my desktop so that I can access e-mails on my phone that appear on my desktop. Help please!

I am on Mac and our company uses Google Workspace tools. Over the past few weeks my google pages are continually loading and lose connectivity. When I run Chrome I never have this issues.

I ran developer tools network. I see lots and lots of ns_binding_aborted errors.

What can I do to ensure Google plays nicely with Firefox. I really don't want to use Chrome but this issue is making it hard to use.

Please help
