Thunderbird Release 115.5.1 - can receive messages but can not send. I am getting an error message saying that my password is in error.

On Nov28 changed to Rel 115.5.1, my thunderbird can receive messages but can not send. I am getting an error message saying that my password is in error. However when i go to Mail.aol,com my password works fine. again this just started on the 28th.

Verizon and AOL require an APP password when using email clients on a PC. I believe you must go to the AOL site and select the security page and can set up the APP password there. See this page for more info: https://help.aol.com/articles/Create-and-manage-app-password
