Firefox using incredible amounts of memory
Hello
I have been using Firefox ESR for a while in linux debian 12 and I have noticed it using up to 1gb system memory with only one youtube video open!!!!!!
This is crazy and in system about:performance the memory being used is shown to be only 200 megabytes.
What is going on? Why does Firefox need so much memory. I am starting to think you guys want linux users to witch to chrome or vivaldi....

Visit about:processes (Shift+Esc) to get more accurate memory usage and get full details by visiting about:memory and clicking the "Measure" button.
You can check the about:memory and about:processes pages for info about all processes. There are several toolkit.aboutProcesses prefs on the about:config page to show more info. See also the about:unloads page for info about the tabs.
