Getting rid of Bing
When I click on Firefox, Bing opens and I'd like to get rid of Bing. I am using Windows 10.

Hi, when you first start Firefox, three possible things can occur:
(1) Firefox shows your home page
This also is the page that appears in a new window (Ctrl+n). To check on and/or change your home page, try the steps in this article: How to set the home page.
Sometimes an add-on takes over setting your home page. Firefox should have a note about that on the Options page in that case.
(2) Restore your previous session open windows and tabs
Probably this is not what is happening if you never use Bing.
(3) Load a page specified in your Firefox shortcut
Desktop shortcuts can be modified with a URL so that a browser loads that page every time you use the shortcut. This is not common unless you've had malware on your computer. If you want to check on that, either:
- Right-click a Firefox desktop shortcut, then click Properties
- Right-click a Firefox icon pinned to the Taskbar, then right-click Mozilla Firefox, then click Properties
Windows should show the Shortcut tab and select the Target field. The Target usually is along the following lines:
- "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe"
- "C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe"
If there is anything extra after that which you did not put there, you can remove it.
Was the problem one of those things?
