Firefox Refresh stuck forever at Almost Done
Without warning, one day Firefox decided it wouldn't load google, any sites connected to it, and a bunch of seemingly random other urls, effectively shutting down half the internet. Other browsers didn't present the same problem. After seeing that Safe Mode seemed to solve it, I opted to refresh firefox, guessing that would solve the problem. But the process always stops before the end. The progress bar for the refresh is completely green, and Firefox ensures me above it that it's "Almost done..." For hours on end. No matter how many times I try it. No matter if I start the refresh in safe mode or not.
Firefox Sync saves all passwords too, right? Can I just reinstall?

Hi, Refresh is completely different to Safe Mode. Since it works in Safe Mode, disable any theme or add-ons you have - Add-ons Manager (Ctrl+Shift+A) > Appearance/Extensions, then restart FF. If it's OK, re-enable them one by one until you find the culprit.

If none of that helps, try deleting ALL references to Google. To do that, open the 3-bar menu, choose History (looks like a clock), then click the Show All History link at the bottom of the list to open the Library window. Search for Google by typing it into the Search History field in the top-right corner, then press Enter. Now in the search results, right-click on it, and select Forget About This Site. (Browsing and download history, cookies, cache, active logins, passwords, saved form data, exceptions for cookies, images and pop-ups for that site will be removed).
