Browser hangs when trying to load many websites but few will work fine, not better after tried updating and refreshing. What's happening?!

We've been having this problem for about a month, tried refreshing which helped briefly then having same problem again. No problem with Safari or connectivity. Checked the help section some more and couldn't find any scenarios that apply.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} by holding down the <Shift> (Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?
