I am about at wits end. I have been trying for about a month to try to get auto-fill forms to work. I worked fine until about a month ago and it quit working. I tried the new and updated version with same results ZIP-ZERO. I am pretty much computer illiterate, and the solutions (directions supplied) might as well be blueprints for a nuclear bomb. I wouldn't understand that either. I did a google search and found a couple of little programs a. Dashlane b. Roboform that have you-tube instructions. My question is will either one of these work with firefox.

Still won't sink in. Used to work but everything I've tried won't work. I've filled out that profile form 4 times and the thing still won't work

Go to the Mozilla Add-ons Web Page {web link} (There’s a lot of good stuff here) and search for a form filling add-on.

Thanks a lot. really appreciate your efforts. I tried those possibilities and nothing happens. Van't get them to work as advertised. I'm beginning to think I'm just too d*mn stupid to figure this SOB out.

Are you talking about the add-ons? Did you read the instructions?

I would like you to try something.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac=Options)
key, and then starting Firefox. A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh).

Is the auto-fill problem still there?

Note: Safe Mode is a troubleshooting mode that temporarily turns off hardware acceleration, resets some settings, and disables add-ons (extensions and themes). If the problem goes away, that tells us one thing. If it does not, that tells us something else.

Thanks, I don't know how to do this. As I stated originally , I am tatally computer illiterate, a Dunce. If I should get lucky enough to get into the "safe mode" then I don't know how to start FF to be able to see if there is still a problem. As I said before those instructions might as well be blueprints for the atom bomb.

The answer is:   a) Yes   and   b)   Yes.
And:   No   !   You are definately not stupid,   cause all of this stuff can be pretty daunting   !

Hi doublest, Rather than just saying form filling does not work can you think of a very simple example that uses some public site and does not need logging in to.

Obviously do not give out any confidential information but try to say exactly what you are trying to do. What you expect to happen, and what does or does not occur. If possible please attach a screenshot.

You may be expecting something to happen that Firefox is not able to do.
