How do I stop a website from blocking the "go back one page" button?
When I go to a certain website and a video immediately starts playing a commercial, the "go back one page" button is disabled which then subjects me to the continuing abuse of the commercial. I have learned to quickly close the browser entirely but if I have other tabs open it becomes more problematic. So, how can a website block my browser controls? How can I stop them from doing so? The website in question is FOXNEWS.com . When I click to view an article of interest it redirects to another site that then launches into a prolonged raucous abusive commercial before allowing the article to show.

Click somewhere on the page, outside of the video that is playing, before using the "go back" button.
Depending on how the effect is achieved, one or more of the following is bound to work (in order of least likely to work to most likely):
- right click somewhere on the page and select back
- double click the back button
- right click the back button and choose an appropriate page to jump back to
