Removed functionality so you can ape Google Chrome.

We are sorry that your are displeased with a future version of Firefox.
Please remember that this version is still being tested and it is possible that the add-on bar will be added at a later date.

The people who answer questions here, for the most part, are other Firefox users volunteering their time (like me), not Mozilla employees or Firefox developers.

If you want to leave feedback for Firefox developers, you can go to the Firefox Help menu and select Submit Feedback... or use this link. (You'll need to be on the latest version of Firefox to submit feedback). Your feedback gets collected at http://input.mozilla.org/, where a team of people read it and gather data about the most common issues.

Well it would be nice if functionality wasn't just removed without warning.

I've been using Firefox since the start and use the Nightly as my main browser to help with feedback.

Now it seems everything must copy the almighty Google. I don't want Chrome, I want Firefox!

The new theme isn't all bad, but certain add-ons don't appear without the add-on bar.

I'm glad to hear that you would like to stick with Firefox.

Please remember that since this version of Firefox isn't officially released, the developers of the add-ons have not updated their add-ons. Therefore, the add-on will still act as if there was an add-on bar until they are updated.

The addon bar will not come back, though a addon for it is likely (don't blame me, I'm not the biggest fan my self).

Hopefully the ForecastFox developers update the addon before the addon bar and the Firefox redesign is defualted.

Vengeance, if you want to be a Nightly tester then perhaps the daily Nightly build threads in http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewforum.php?f=23 would be of interest as the Testers do not really discuss about the development channel builds here much besides the Release and Beta channels.

Thanks for the link.

If firefox drops the add on bar, I will switch to Chrome.

@seasnake
Please remember that the people on the support forum are not Firefox developers.
They are volunteers that have nothing to do with the design of Firefox.

A note that the Addon bar will be in Firefox 28.0 release as Austalis did not move/merge with 28.0 when it went from the Nightly to Aurora development channel and 29.0a1 started on Nightly.

Maybe make a poll or petition? Then maybe Mozilla will see there are many people want to keep the add-on bar.
