every time I go to close, it tells me it will 2 or 3 tabs, how can i change to close only one tab?
If I have 2 windows open and I try to close one .it tells me that it will close 2 tabs-then I must sign in again.

I'm not sure if I understand your answer.
Are you missing the close button on each tab individually or maybe they are very small and not clearly visible?
Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
- Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

Don't use the close X on the title bar to close the window, but use the close X on the tab or middle-click the tab to close that tab or use Ctrl+W.
