I tried to print this page http://www.nzherald.co.nz/ but FF does not allow me to print it as i see it.

The printer produces all the columns in sequence but the Frame print options are all greyed out.

How do i get a reasonable reproduction of a page like this without using print screen and stitching the images together in my graphics editor?

Frame print options are only available with pages that are made with Frames, i-Frames don't count. Every browser I viewed that page with would roughly print that page the same, IE8, Opera 10.63, Safari 5.0.1, Firefox 3.6.12, and Chromium 7.0.701 - none print what would be considered a "screenshot" or actual view of that page as it is displayed in the browser window.

Thanks the-edmeis.

I don't usually print pages but i was testing a printer setup which is how I found it.

Does ahnyone know if there are any plans for a function that does print the screen shot? Or is there a plugin that does it?

I am using Firefox 4 and having this problem on a web page that definitely has frames. I tried selecting a frame and the frame print options were still grayed out.

I have been accessing this web page and printing individual frames for years. When I was using Firefox 3.16 up until yesterday, these options were not grayed out. In Internet Explorer 8 and previous versions, the print preview screen included frame print options; when I hopped over to Internet Explorer 9, I found that the print preview screen had been changed to no longer offer these options (!) but a little Internet research showed that pressing Ctrl-P on the frame in question did in fact print the individual frame.

So what is going on with Firefox 4?
