firefox won't shut down correctly

I am using Windows 7 and Firefox 115.5. When I close Firefox, it stalls and after a minute I get an error message saying Windows Explorer is hung up. Then if I can get an option to close the program. I have tried many ways to exit Firefox but nothing helps this. Thanks.

Open Firefox in Safe Mode and then try closing again to see if you have the same issue. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/diagnose-firefox-issues-using-troubleshoot-mode#w_how-to-start-firefox-in-4troubleshoot-modesf5safe-modesf
