Customized fonts broken in update
I can no longer impose my own fonts on webpages since the most recent update. Can you fix it please?

In Firefox 119 Fingerprinting protection has been added to ETP in strict mode (Suspected fingerprinters) and this affects accessing local fonts.
You have three choices:
1. Use Standard Tracking Protection. 2. Use Custom Tracking Protection with "Suspected fingerprinters" disabled. 3. Disable font protection by going to about:config and changing privacy.fingerprintingProtection.overrides to -FontVisibilityBaseSystem,-FontVisibilityLangPack.
zeroknight's third choice appears to work. The ability to override a page's font choice and use your own is of benefit to some people with visual impairment including myself. This feature implemented in a way that actually works is exclusive to Firefox as far as I know. Thank you zeroknight.
Note that you should be careful about disabling "Allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of your selections above" as this will cause issues with iconic fonts used by webpages to display small icons (you may see text labels instead of icons).

That's good advice. Would imagine the frequency of this issue depends on the browsing habits of each user. In my experience, 5 years ago a few pages I visited had such glitches. In recent years it's rare for any website to have a problem with my font choice and no pages are rendered broken and unusable.
I'm in the USA. Allowing the user to specify the font is in keeping with best practices regarding website accessibility under Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act. In practice, in my usage, almost exactly no websites allow me to specify the font. The Chrome browser has settings to customize fonts but this has no visible effect on virtually all web pages.
Firefox is the best browser for my needs and I hope this feature will continue to exist for the users that can benefit from it. We're small in number. We need you more than you need us.
