Short two and three word 'News headlines' showing in address bar on a blank page.
Hi all.
This happened yesterday 220610 on an Android 9 Nokia 8 using duckduckgo search in the Firefox Android browser.
Short two and three word 'News headlines' showing in address bar on a blank page. The words would fade in to view and disappear every two or three seconds.
It stopped after a few minutes and has not done it since. Has this happened to anyone else or is it just a function I am unaware of? Cheers

Hi
Are you able to take a screenshot of what you are seeing?
Alas, I went to tell some fiends about it, came back to the browser and it had stopped. I did see it 'Scroll' through at least 8 -10 headlines when I discovered the phenomenon.
Hi
I think that what you are seeing are search suggestions based on what you gave entered into the address bar.
If you open the Firefox for Android menu, select Settings and Search you will see the option to turn this feature off.
Hi Paul Thank you for the info but alas the 'Show search suggestions' feature is on. I have still had no further occurrence of the phenomena. If it happens again the first thing I will do is take a screen shot.
Hi
I would recommend turning that off as I think that might be what you are seeing.
If this issue does occur again, a screenshot would help in finding the best way to correct it for you.
Hi Paul I was unaware that I gave the impression that I require the phenomena correcting. I apologise if somehow I did. I was only bemused that these ghostly headlines were fading in and out of the address bar. Then totally disappeared with no input from me all in the space of about five minutes.
Ah, no problem, thank you for clarifying.
