Need to view "hidden" attachments
According to the help document, "Allow me to view "hidden" attachments" [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/.../configuration-options-attachments] "There is a special view mode for messages which allows you to see all of a message's attachments, even "hidden" ones, in its attachments list. Because this view mode is not needed by most users and could be confusing to some, it is disabled by default. To enable it, install the "Show All Body Parts" add-on."
Unfortunately, the add on "Show All Body Parts" is no longer supported in 91.3.2.
Our non-profit uses Vertical Response Vertical Response for connecting with supporters. When a supporter replies to an email sent via Vertical Response, the return email is attached to a generic form sent to us by VR. I need to view all hidden attachments in order to reply to an email from our supporters. I need to be able to click on the contact_reply.eml attachment in order to reply.
Any help you could give would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Suggest you try the following:
Menu app icon > Preferences > General Scroll to bottom and click on 'Config Editor' It opens in a new tab called 'Advanced Preferences' In top search type: show_all look for this line: mailnews.display.show_all_body_parts_menu Click on the far right toggle icon to change from 'false' to 'True' Close 'Advanced Preferences' tab
Then set as follows: Menu app icon > View > Message Body as > select 'All body parts'
Thank you Toad-Hall, Your instructions worked. I am able to see the contact_reply.eml file! So great progress!
On my Android phone, in the unrelated mail app I'm using, when I click on the contact_reply.eml file, it automatically opens a new window creating a new email with the senders email in the TO section, and the original email displayed below.
In Thunderbird on Windows 10, when I right-click on the "contact_reply.eml" file and select OPEN, it opens a dialog box asking me what Thunderbird should do with this file. In the dialog box, Thunderbird is seeing the file as a text document from imap://imap.gmail.com:993. If I select "Open with Thunderbird", then click OK, it opens a completely blank email with the file "contact_reply.eml-2.txt" saved as an attachment. Is there a setting to change how thunderbird handles the OPEN dialog so that it would treat it as a reply email with the senders address listed in the TO section and the body of the sender's email section below? (If I need to start a new thread, please feel comfortable letting me know.)
I figured out a work around.
With the updated settings, the supporter's email address is highlighted in the email sent through VR. I can right-click the email address, copy, then go to MORE and REDIRECT. A new email opens with all the information I need in the BODY. Then I simply paste the supporter's email address in the REPLY-TO box. So this works for me!
