I now have Linux Mint 20.2 Cinnamon and have downloaded Firefox 93 and Nightly from the main site and extracted both of them but for some reason the file that appears to be the file to open Firefox won't work. Can you tell Me what I have done wrong? I know VERY very little about Linux please explain the answer in great detail.

I don't know Linux, but I found this article that may make more sense to you than it does to me: Install Firefox on Linux.
