when i have installed the webpage installer the sound seems to be working ok when a new email have been received. What i do find when i change to the snap or flatpack version then it does not work. The only difference that i can see is the Media area under Troubleshooting is missing one area. Roundtrip latency (standard deviation) is ... The other versions did have (NaN) in this area. Is there a way to add this into the software manaually? Running KDE Neon 5.2.1.

If /tmp is designated as the directory where programs can write temporary files to on your system, make sure it is writable for your user id.

I don't think Mozilla offers a Snap or Flatpack version of Thunderbird. Is the Snap or Flatpack version offered by your distribution? Then you should ask in a support forum for your distribution.

will do. One thing that i do notice is with the website version when we try to open any attachments they will not open. they are looking for /tmp folder and they can not access it.

Between a rock and a hard place. Have the sound working or have the files not being able to open without downloading them.
