inline images created by Yahoo Mail are not shown inline
Wehn an email created by Yahoo Mail contains inline images, then Thunderbird doesn't show them inline but at the end of the email. Outlook shows this email correctly. Thunderbird setting for viewing content is "original HTML" Thunderbird does show emails with inline images createtd by other mailers correctly.

But was the email created as HTML ? You may have received the email in Plain Text.
Emails can be created using HTML and then sent as both HTML and Plain Text. If you, as a recipient, were sent only the Plain TExt version then images will not be inline, bit displayed below as an attachment.
Select email to view contents, click on 'More' and select 'View Source'. Post an image which shows all the information after the headers FRom To, so shows the plain text and the html content from the first line after the FROM, Subject TO info eg: Content Type: onwards.

Thank you very much. Attached find the image. (I tried to send as text, but seems to not come through). In order to produce the image I had to add line breaks in the HTML code referencing the image.
If the images are in an html attachment, they won't show by default, even if View/Display Attachments Inline is checked, unless mail.inline_attachments.text is true in Options/General/Indexing/Config. editor. Double-click a preference to toggle its value.
Thank you. I changed this from false to true. Unfortunately it does not help. Do you have another idea?
