Saved Password Settings
Hello,
My privacy settings never actually save. More specifically, the autofill username/password settings. Every day I have to go back and check the box for autofill. I would like this setting to just remain so I don't have to do this every day. My Firefox is up to date.

Note: Some software, like Advanced SystemCare with Surfing Protection, can protect files in the Firefox profile folder against changes. If you have such software then check the settings or uninstall this software.
I don’t have any software like that on my computer :-/
You could check your "Cookies and Site Data" and 'History' settings in Preferences/Options.
I’m not sure what you mean by “check.” What am I checking for?
Type about:preferences#privacy<enter> in the address bar. The button next to History, select Use Custom Settings.
Turn off Always Use Private Browsing Mode Turn on Remember My Browsing And Download History At the bottom of the page, turn on Clear History When Firefox Closes. At the far right, press the Settings button. Turn on ONLY Cache and Form And Search History leaving the others off.
That actually didn't work. Went to do stuff today and had to go through to settings all over again.
Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link}
A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?
Start your Computer in safe mode with network support. Then start Firefox. Try Secure websites. Is the problem still there?
