Firefox page loading times extremly slow

Hi,

since about a week or 2, Firefox is extremely slow, the page loading times are atrocious and I am out of ideas. When I compare to chrome or edge, we are talking about anywhre from 2x to5x+ slower page loading times. It happens on any page I open. I never had this issue before and have been using FF for many years.

Technicals: Firefox v. 80.0.1 (64-bit), OS Windows 10, all updates installed. Extensions i use in FF: Duckduckgo Privacy Essentials, Facebook container, Google Translator, image search options, VLC, ublock origin, Web Developer & Reddit enhancment suite.

What I already tried: log out and in and re-sync, clear data & cache, Private mode, Firefox refresh.
