Will using Sync transfer any virus or malware to my new computer?

Old computer died, would not boot, gave every indication of hardware malfunction, but............. Bought new computer and am presently wanting to sync all my internet passwords, links, files between computers; but, just in case the old computer's death was caused by a virus, malware, whatever, I just want to ensure I'm not going to transfer the virus to the new computer when I sync it.

Hi, viruses do not usually cause computer deaths. When it does it is usually someone asking for payment and you did not pay.

Run a good Anvirus & Firewall program and scan with : https://www.malwarebytes.com/mwb-download/ after you have synced if that makes you feel any better.
