There is a empty space in the dock space when i full screen a video with firefox on a macbook. What can i do?

Whenever I want to watch a video full screen with firefox on my mac, there is a empty space with my background on the place where the dock would be whenever there is no full screen. You can see it well on the screenshot. What can i do to help this? I want to keep this browser and not use safari. However there is no full screen problem with safari.

hi ole, this is a bug in high sierra unfortunately, but apple is aware of it and it looks like they will ship a fix in version 10.13.1: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1390125
