Whenever I download and install vista security updates I have to reinstall mozilla firefox, why?
Whenever I download and install vista security updates I lose Mozilla Firefox. The icon and program still exist but don't respond. Clicking the icon or clicking run the program from the files produces absolutely no response. So ever time I install updates I have to launch internet explorer and redownload firefox. Most annoying. Help. P.S. Yes firefox is my default browser.

Some problems occurs when your Internet security program was set to trust the previous version of Firefox, but no longer recognizes your updated version as trusted. Now how to fix the problem: To allow Firefox to connect to the Internet again;
- Make sure your Internet security software is up-to-date (i.e. you are running the latest version).
- Remove Firefox from your program's list of trusted or recognized programs. For detailed instructions, see
Configure firewalls so that Firefox can access the Internet. {web link}

As suggested I removed Firefox from the programs list of trusted programs, and then relisted Firefox back into list of trusted programs. As it happens a new batch of security updated for vista just arrived and I downloaded and installed them and Firefox popped up when I clicked the icon, just like it's supposed to. So far so good. Many Thanks!!
Glad to help. Safe surfing.
