Why does the search bar show junk like "http://ypwzz.exclusive-rewards.snowflavor.kim/?sov=69312301&hid=dvhrfhhtflflflflfl&redid=9646&gsid=274&id=XNSX.atestf1_0
Why do I keep getting random websites, surveys when Firefox opens up instead of the Google Homepage I have set over and over again? Here is an example -
searchou.com which keeps redirecting to another web address - http://fw.dnslink.com/?domainname=ividi.org&publicid=1C7BB734-6D04-4DB7-836F-6807B8E4D10A - then -
http://ypwzz.exclusive-rewards.snowflavor.kim/?sov=69312301&hid=dvhrfhhtflflflflfl&redid=9646&gsid=274&id=XNSX.atestf1_0124js%3A%3A40133%3A%3A%3A%3A03%2F25%2F2015+3%3A39%3A01+AM-r9646-t274 - which has videos of people saying they have become millionaires

hello gocheso1, if your manual changes don't 'stick' after a restart of the browser, please look out for any suspicious extensions (like 3rd-party-toolbars or things you have not installed intentionally) presently installed under the firefox menu ≡ > addons > extensions. Remove a toolbar that has taken over your Firefox search or home page
in case this doesn't solve the issue please try to refresh firefox: Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings
I went into menu - addons > extensions but didn't see any toolbars to remove. I am now getting a different website such as -

it sure sounds like an issue with adware. have you tried the refresh option already?
I have tried refresh. It doesn't help. Here is another different link in the browser bar-
It starts off very quickly -

then it very quickly flicks to another link starting with-

which shows a survey regarding Telstra
This is very annoying. I just want Firefox to open with Google and nothing else
I have tried changing the browser box to www.google.com.au then I drag the lock image to Home. I then get asked - Do you want this document to be your new Homepage? I click on Yes. It only stays set temporarily. After I quit Firefox and open Firefox again Google doesn't show anymore. The annoying links show up again.
