Sometimes when playing Facebook videos or YouTube videos, and sometimes when just scrolling, the whole window will turn black. Sound will still play, and I can still click on things, but the window just turns black.

I have checked some other forum posts about this problem, which led me to disable hardware acceleration, but that didn't solve the issue. Also, some people mentioned that it may be because Firefox is using too much memory, but my computer has 16GB of RAM.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

You can try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.

  • Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"

You need to close and restart Firefox after toggling this setting.
