FF can load just tens kilobates page for few minutes. Borying! Internet speed is 512 kbit/sec, network load is 100%, plugins switched off. What the reason of this could be?! What FF loads, how to see that? Other application were not using Internet - checked with nethogs (openSUSE Linux).

Hello,

Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache. In order to try to fix these problems, the first step is to clear both cookies and the cache. Note: This will temporarily log you out of all sites you're logged in to. To clear cache and cookies do the following:

  1. Go to Firefox > History > Clear recent history or (if no Firefox button is shown) go to Tools > Clear recent history.
  2. Under "Time range to clear", select "Everything".
  3. Now, click the arrow next to Details to toggle the Details list active.
  4. From the details list, check Cache and Cookies and uncheck everything else.
  5. Now click the Clear now button.

Further information can be found in the Clear your cache, history and other personal information in Firefox article.

Did this fix your problems? Please report back to us!

Thank you.

No, not helped. I told You about network traffic, do not think it is connected with cache or cookies. How to check which FF tab or component loads so much traffic and why?

Even more: now I have all pages completelly loaded, oppenned and shown, however FF still loads something on 60 KB/sec speed - maximum I have. Terrible browser! What the cause of this could be?!

You can make your Firefox fast again.

Do not get confused by the difference between kilobits per seconds and kilobytes per second.

Do not know what You want to see on that sceenshot. I tell You all what I see.

more options

No, 60 KB/sec = 480 kbit/sec. Max - 512 kbit - never have.

more options

The difference isn't that big, so it is possible that your ISP isn't able to reach or sustain the maximum bit rate that they specify, so maybe contact your ISP to ask them about this discrepancy.

F...ck, I told about FF loads something from Internet but but do not loads a page, problem not about ISP. How to remove these stupid answers from this thread?!

Chromium loads page iimediatelly with minimum traffic.

Not reproducible with new empty profile. However I do not like to clear all the settings extensions when such problem appear. I did this few month ago, do not want to repeat again. F...cking browser: tens years and it is still bugfull and slow.

Did you modify any network.http.* prefs on the about:config page?

You can delete a possible user.js file and numbered prefs-##.js files and rename (or delete) the prefs.js file to reset all prefs to the default value including prefs set via user.js and prefs that are no longer supported in the current Firefox release.

>Did you modify any network.http.* prefs on the about:config page?

No, all default.

>You can delete a possible user.js file and numbered prefs-##.js files

Did that, does not helped.

>and rename (or delete) the prefs.js

I can't do that cause I have many tabs open, session, preferences, add-ons.

AlekseyK,

prefs.js has nothing to do with your extensions or anything regarding your personal customizations. It reset all the values in about:config to their default.

P.S. are you still having problems with Firefox?

Not agree, when I removed it I had lost all tabs and settings. When returned it back - all tabs were restored as well as settings.

Seems works fine for now, will see further work. Have not checked much sites, pages.
