
I have lost the top bar with my File and edit feature with cut, copy & paste
I have lost the bar with the following functions: File, Edit with cut, copy & paste

Also on the Firefox button menu, the Edit option is there. The 3 icon following the word "Edit" will be "non-gray" only if something is highlighted on the page or something is already on the clipboard. The "arrow" to the far right of Edit will give you the options in text instead of icons.

You should upgrade to a more current version than the Firefox 4 that the information included with your question indicates that you are using.
