a sender needs to be taken off spam list, but there a "not spam" box isn't showing in my "trash" file

I need to remove a name from my spam list...the email from this person automatically goes to "Trash" and I don't want it to...and I can't find an area titled "not spam" to click on...there is only an area titled "Spam"

Which webmail service do you use (e.g., Yahoo, Gmail, Windows Live Hotmail)?

I assume you're accessing through Firefox, but if you are using Thunderbird, then that would be a very different question.
