I didn't catch that this new version was all about Yahoo, which I hate! Plus this version crashes or hangs constantly, & I have to re-start repeatedly. Did I mention I hate it? I want the old version back, or else Im going to have to switch to a different browser.

I don't believe the current version of Firefox has anything to do with Yahoo.

Many third party applications unrelated to Mozilla will try installing addons and toolbars for companies like Yahoo. You can try looking at what addons you have installed and disabling any you don't want. If that doesn't help, try uninstalling Firefox and downloading it again from getfirefox.com.

i finally found how to remove the Yahoo toolbar! go to

Tools AddOns Extensions

Find Yahoo Toolbar and click "remove" ... after you do this you must re-start Firefox but then it's gone!!
