firefox wont start loading a page when i type it in and hit enter on the search bar, i have to click the go button, what is up with that?

i type in an address like bing.com and hit enter and nothing happens it just sits there until i hit the go button, but on login pages after typing in the password and hitting enter it brings me to my profile or whatever

Issues with the Enter key not working can be caused by the AVG Safe Search Toolbar.

Start Firefox in Use Troubleshoot Mode in Firefox to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

  • Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
