I'm not sure what you mean. From what I can tell, you were using IE and Yahoo Messenger. You installed Firefox, and now you have a problem with Yahoo Messenger? As I understand it, Yahoo Messenger is a separate program from IE or Firefox. Does Yahoo Messenger start? Did you have it set to start when you start Windows? If you can start it, can it connect to the internet? Can you sign in to Yahoo Messenger?

How do i change firewall settings to allow Yahoo I.M. to download. The download will complete until this is done according to a error message I am getting.

 I switched from IE to Firefox, everything works great except I cannot use my Yahoo Messenger, when I tried to use the Web Version, a pop-up says I have to install an Adobe Flashplayer.  When I attempt to do this it will not allow me to., pop-up says Adobe Flash Plug-In has crashed.  I have tried multiple times with the same results each time.  Very frustrating.  I also attempted downloading the Yahoo Messenger 10.0 version and my computer says it is downloaded but I cannot find it anywhere and no shortcut appeared on my desktop or taskbar as previously when I used IE.

I have the same problem as most posts I see on here in regard to inability to download Yahoo Messenger using Firefox browser, also am unable to download anything that has a video, and Adobe Reader, Adobe Flash, Adobe Plug-Ins. I want someone to post a solution although thusfar I have not seen any reading thru pages of Firefox Tutorials etc. Please respond to me if you have found a solution.

Follow these steps to reset your internet explorer:

a. Go to Internet Explorer's "Tools" menu.

b. Click on "Internet Options."

c. Click the "Advanced" tab.

d. Click the "Reset" button.

e. Click to select the checkbox for "Delete personal settings."

f. Click the "Reset" button.

g. When the reset is complete, click "Close."

After reseting Internet Explorer, everything should start working again. Good Luck!
