hello, I recently formatted my PC, and when installing Firefox again, I logged into my account and tried to sync to get my history, extensions and bookmarks. But I can't for some reason. can you help?

My understanding of sync if you wipe clean and reinstall Firefox and login to Firefox sync account if the new login has nothing saved aka bookmarks or password manager it would clear the sync to match the new setup and that could remove all the saved previous data clearing all that data as well.
