Usually, if I want to put messages in a folder, and I want to put all of them from "Smith" I would sort by sender name,making it easier to find all from that person, check the box and move together. How do I sort by name, subject, etc. They're only sorted by date currently.

Firefox doesn't do email, it's strictly a web browser.

If you are using Firefox to access your mail, you are using "web-mail". You need to seek support from your service provider or a forum for that service.
