Firefox crashes seemingly for no reason, no discernable pattern
I'll be browsing, and Firefox will shut down. It's usually when I click on something, but occasionally when I'm just looking at the screen. After the last crash, I reopened Firefox and all my tabs came back. This happens once a day, occasionally more. The sporadic frequency makes it hard to troubleshoot extensions.

Thank you so much for the quick reply. I'll disable Norton Confidential and get back to the forum with the results.
I have had this problem recently. I use Kaspersky Internet Security, and never used Norton.

If you have Trusteer Rapport installed, try disabling it and see what happens.
As I instructed it to closedown - so did Firefox !
Note that you can also check if there are updates for your Trusteer software in case this appears to be a problem with Trusteer and not something else.
Modified
I have just downloaded the up-to-date version of Trusteer. I am going out now, but will see what happens later this evening.
I have had Firefox open for just under an hour, and then it suddenly disappeared.
As I said I had downloaded the latest Trusteer software, and had it activated on one site (GMail) but not on the site I was visiting when it crashed.
There it went again, about 45 mins from switch-on.
Any developments? This is so annoying when it happens.
Good news, it hasn't crashed today! I have also downloaded an update. Hope the bug has been fixed.
I just began to have this problem - 4 times in 10 minutes. I use Paretologic, Panda, and Malwarebytes.
