You still have protection from norton, just not the toolbar. Read http://community.norton.com/t5/Norton-360/Firefox-22-Support-for-Norton-Toolbar/m-p/979955 to get it back

Hi Jerry, if you are concerned about the Norton Vulnerability Protection feature, Symantec recently issued an update. Please see this support article for details: Message: "Norton Vulnerability Protection is incompatible with Firefox 22.0" after I install the Firefox update.
