Google Caldav: Microsoft meeting notices stored locally but not on Google calendar

email2210

Meeting notices are showing locally as being stored in my Google calendar, but actually are not.

I have four email addresses in Thunderbird, say one@domain.com, two@domain.com, three@domain.com, four@domain.com. I get Microsoft meeting calendar invites from time to time at each of these addresses. I accept them.

I want my calendar also on my Android, so have subscribed to my Google calendar, say at address calendar@gmail.com, through the builtin Thunderbird feature of a calendar on the network.

After accepting a Microsoft meeting invite, say at two@domain.com, it shows up correctly in my Thunderbird calendar as being stored in my Google calendar:

  Calendar: calendar@gmail.com

But actually it is not in that calendar when I check the calendar on the web. And so of course are not synced to my Android.

Is the problem that in the calendar properties in Thunderbird that I have my main email address "one@domain.com" selected from the "Email:" dropdown? Should I change that to "calendar@gmail.com"?

If so, does that mean I also need to add "calendar@gmail.com" as an email account to Thunderbird? I have not done so yet, because I don't need email from that account, I am just using it for the calendar feature.

Thanks.

I should add, I have "Prefer client-side email scheduling" checked in the calendar settings, because otherwise I am not getting emails sent to attendees that I add to calendar invites I create. Is this a contributing factor?

Edit: Apparently not. Tests show that either way, this setting on or off, accepting an MS Teams Meeting shows the invite with "Calendar: calendar@gmail.com" showing when opened in Thunderbird, but the notice is actually not in the calendar@gmail.com calendar when checked on the web :-(
