I changed my password for Greenby/Plusnet today. Now Thunderbird is unable to connect to them. The password is correct as I can enter website directly. No problems before change. Grateful for help.

Should I reinstall?

Try to delete the old password Thunderbird has remembered. At the top right of the Thunderbird window, click the menu button ≡ > Settings > Privacy & Security > Saved Passwords > Show Passwords

Restart Thunderbird after that. You should then be prompted for the new password.

I have already done this.
