Unfortunately, syncing tab groups is not supported yet. You can give kudos to a related idea on Mozilla Connect.

Chrome shouldn't embarrass Firefox like that! Syncing tab groups means you can choose an organizational paradigm for research or other segregation needs and easily find it no matter what device its on. When tab groups do not sync you're left with searching through massive histories on other devices as the only resort to finding related items.
