Pending Pings?

more options

A file called 'Pending Pings' appeared within the folder in which my Firefox installation is located. I last used Firefox on May 14, 2025. I don't know how it appeared as I disabled automatic updates and made it so it would ask me if I wanted an update, so I do not know why it is.

That is apart of Mozilla's telemetry service. Firefox usually creates a "Pending Pings" directory when it has data in queue. Since you have updates turned off, it's likely you also turned off crash reports or other usage statistics that Firefox normally reports back to Mozilla. You can read more about it here: https://docs.telemetry.mozilla.org/
