Thunderbird auto-update from v.9x to v.102 wiped out half my calendar entries (and other problems)
BUGZILLA SUMMARY:
Thunderbird auto-update from v.9x to v.102 wiped out half my calendar entries (and other problems)
Thunderbird 102
Defect Report
DESCRIPTION:
(1) In about the first week of September (2022), Thunderbird prompted me to relaunch to install an update. When the updated (v.102) Thunderbird launched, I discovered that half my calendar events were gone -- there were _14_ days in September with _NO_ events ... in spite of the fact that I had an 'everyday' morning reminder event among those that disappeared. See attached file (T-BIRD 102 CALENDAR DAMAGE.jpg).
(2) Note in that calendar image the disagreement between the 'mini-month' and the 'full-month' about what day is 'Today' -- Sep-7 or Sep-8 !??
(3) when I ask to display events in the current month that contain "BDAY", it displays _ALL_ events that contain "BDAY".
(4) I always have 2 'message' windows open (for 2 different groups of folders), and each window has multiple tabs (for folders etc). Until the v.102 update, key strokes [Ctrl + PageUp / PageDown] moved the focus to the LEFT / RIGHT between the tabs.
NOW (v.102) ... [Ctrl + PageUp / PageDown] sometimes works as before, but when it comes to certain tabs, those key strokes behave differently: (a) they move up or down IN THE MESSAGE-LIST or (b) move up or down IN THE FOLDER LIST !!! ... and I have to move to a different tab using the mouse !-(
(5) Before Tbird-102 ... Reading a message, with the cursor on the 'Subject' field, {Right-Click + 'Copy'} used to copy (for example) ... "New Thunderbird Videos!"
Now Tbird-102 ... using the same mouse action, copies "Subject:New Thunderbird Videos!"
(*) There may be other problems, but this is enuf to get started. I am disappointed and distressed.
What happened? Did I get a pre-beta v.102 or a counterfeit download by mistake?
How can I get a working Tbird-102? How can I get my calendar entries back? And other 'assets' such as AddressBook if more damage is found?
A friend is suggesting it may be time to switch to MS Outlook. :-\

Have you restarted your computer? _______________________________ Yes, and the Activity Manager window has not re-appeared. :-)
