Can't delete event series

I have a recurring calendar event that I seem to be unable to delete. I've tried <Delete>. I've tried declining the event (which just greys out the recurring events). But I can't get rid of it. What am I missing?

is the calendar read only? Tha6 is the usual reason for such things.

How do I check whether the calendar is Read Only? I don't see anything in Options.

I can create new events, and delete them, but not this one series (Data Storage Data...).
