Just got this Zte Open. I know the Os is dead, but can I update the phone? The OS is version 1, I tried to update via settings app, it did not work.

As the Firefox has stopped its OS version to android phones, including Zte Open of its build-in Firefox OS as far as I know. So, you will stay there at version 1 and you can't update because as I said, this project is closed.
