Folder column has disapeared; how can I get it back?

Until this morning, all of the message display panels had a folder "index" column at the left side. It facilitated movement between folders (i.e. inbox, draft, etc.). Now that column is _gone_ and I would like to have it back.

View/Layout/Folder Pane, or AppMenu/Options/Layout...

View/Layout/Folder Pane worked half-way -- _many_ thanks for that -- only the basic folders were revealed, the "correspondence folders" have vanished. I'll look around for them.

Try View/Folders/All, or perhaps re-subscribe if it is an IMAP account (right-click account in folder pane, Subscribe...).

Two Excellent Suggestions, unfortunately View/Folders was already set to "all" and the account seems to be POP rather than IMAP. I sincerely appreciate your effort.
