Dear Firefox Team,

I am writing to propose an enhancement for your iOS and Android, as well as desktop applications, that would greatly benefit users with visual impairments. It would also benefit anyone who is aware that they are in need of supplementary assistance in the absorption of information and knowledge, such as myself (for context; I am an adult with autism and ADHD). Specifically, I suggest adding an accessibility feature that provides verbal dictation of the text on the phone. This addition would significantly improve the experience for users with limited or no sight or potentially even other types of disabilities.

As a friendly neighborhood computer consultant, I recommend Firefox as the default browser to my friends and family because of its strong commitment to privacy. Additionally, a partnership with DuckDuckGo could further underscore your dedication to user privacy.

I appreciate your consideration of these suggestions and look forward to seeing your continued innovation and reaction to my notes. Enhancing accessibility features not only supports inclusivity but could also attract new users and potentially open up advertising opportunities. I am eager to share more ideas in the future and would be delighted to contribute to your mission in any way possible.

Ok, so first everyone needs to know I love Firefox, I have never donated a cent to Firefox. I think I have burned by FIREFOX MOZILLA HOW? I am not sure, because I am not an expert as all of you, but: I uninstalled Firefox because my iPad kept freezing and does not move on my iPad and all my four phones. While reinstalling Firefox, I see that one of their products called Monitor said my accounts have been compromised about 700+ instances. Then I proceed to find out how my accounts and private data was compromised? Well when I saw the list, you can imagine how long IT IS??? well, I was given a choice do it by paying $8+ a month/yearly and or manual; so what is the question how my addresses got compromised if I only use Firefox, Isn’t Firefox the self appointed SUPER GREAT BROWSER AND ADVOCATE FOR SECURITY AND INTERNET USER RIGHTS AND SO ON? Well again I am not an expert, but what I’m am so FXXXXXG burning stupidity it is that when I attempted to use the service, the FUNDAMENTAL QUESTIONS OF SECURITY your FUL NAME, YOUR DATE OF BIRTH, YOUR CITY AND STATE. Well, I am sorry today I lost flight on this browser, back to Safari, I guess. LIKE AN STUPID IDIOT I GAVE MY FULL NAME, MY DATE OF BIRTH, MY CITY, MY STATE TO FIREFOX/MOZILLA. NOW FIREFOX MOZILLA HAS ME BY MY BAXXS AND I FELT FOR IT. I am trying to add ITA Matrix power tool extension. When I click on link I land on page that says ‘you need to install Firefox to use this extension’. Firefox is already installed. How to I activate the extension in Firefox? Thanks Philip

None of the online instructions work. None. Why must it be impossible or so inhumanly difficult to simply disable the annoying and privacy-violating “Firefox suggestions” in the Firefox address bar on the iOS? When will you finally realize and accept that people should be able to use Firefox in social situations without having everyone around see one’s search history? Is this really difficult to understand? It seems that the knuckleheads at Mozilla product development lack even the most basic understanding of the concept of privacy. And yet Mozilla advertises its product with empty promises of privacy.

Hi, reacently private tabs started to be deleted whenever I close firefox, is this intentional? it used to be that when one closed ff and reopened it it would take them to home page in non private mode, but the private tabs would remain accesable. If thats a new feature I ask you kindly to make a toggle for ios to make it costumizable: close open private tabs when ff is closed: y/n

Firefox has been closing all of my private tabs whenever the app restarts. I got a new phone recently and it only happens now on this phone. I've been wondering if it's something in the settings but I can't seem to find anything.

At this point I'm ready to give up on Firefox, for two major reasons:

1. Bookmarks are cumbersome as hell to access. They're buried under multiple pointless levels... and that's after you pull up a giant menu and scroll to the top of it, another pointless level. It takes four taps (and some scrolling) just to start looking at your bookmarks.

2. Every time you return to Firefox mobile from another app, it creates a new tab... instead of showing you what you were looking at a minute ago. Were you looking at your boarding pass? Welp, you won't be now. Super fun while you're in the security line!

Or, were you checking a restaurant address online so you can text it to your friend? NOPE, says Firefox. You must want a new tab instead.

The new-tab problem has been complained about for years. What is going on?

bold text I want to use the suggested secure password feature but need to have a special character in many sites. Without this as an option the feature is useless. Every search I have done results in 2-4 year old threads. I need an answer from 2024. Thanks.

The behavior of Firefox on my iPad when long-pressing a link and selecting the “Open link in new tab” option is counter to how it should operate. It opens the link in a new background tab. It should open the link in a new tab and bring that tab to the foreground, like it does in the desktop app.

Hi! I am having issues with loosing tabs in private browsing mode. In the past I could have dozens of tabs open in private browsing mode for months at a time, but it seems like after the new update as soon as I leave Firefox all of my open private browsing mode my tabs disappear.

Is this an intentional new feature? Is there a way to turn it off? I would like to keep my private browsing mode tabs open after I leave the Firefox browsing app (I am not exiting or deleting any tabs or the app when I leave).

Sometimes the lock icon in the url bar shows that a connection is insecure (slash through lock) when the connection is secure and using https. I haven’t been able to detect a pattern, but it’s happened enough times that it has become noticeable. I’m curious if there’s a reason behind this, or perhaps I’m misunderstanding how to interpret the lock icon? I’ve attached a screen shot of an example from the VSCode extension marketplace web site where there seems to be a disconnect.
