Hello, I think I may have asked about this in the past but cannot recall if I received an answer. Under Settings, I get the message "Your browser is being managed by your organization." This is my home computer and is not being managed by any organization. When I click for more information, it gives me a screen with the following information:

Policy Name Certificates

Policy Value ImportEnterpriseRoots

                         true

If I could get more information on this suspected error, or how to correct it, that would be great. Thanks!

Some sites do not work correctly even if I select Custom and uncheck the boxes there, but these sites work in Google Chrome. One of the examples is the Twitch site. It's not displayed correctly in some places and there are probably other sites. I wouldn't want to add these sites manually, because personally I don't see any point in it for myself. I really hope that Mozilla has provided the ability to completely disable this function using standard tools (settings or about:config), without installing any extensions.

Thank you!

Stopping App / Computer Pop-ups ~ Notifications

Hello:

I'm not certain if this question comes under Firefox or not:

How do you stop a specific computer software program-app pop-up notification (popping out from the lower right corner of your computer)?

As an example, I have a utility program, IOBIT Malware System Care that pops-up various notifications such as "update notice," "renew," "discount sale" or whatever notice or ads that is 'pushed'.

-I went to my Windows 11 list of installed app "notifications" and this program is not listed. -I tried contacting tech support but they haven't responded. -I went to Firefox 'Settings' -> Privacy & Security->Permissions and then I opened up 'Exceptions' to see if I can block something. It wants me to put in a specific website. The issue is not a website but coming within a software / app program.

So how and where do I stop a "pushed' notification? I assume it's coming in via my browser / Firefox?

Thank you in advance,

Steven

I have all options enabled to save addresses and credit cards.

When I try to manually add a credit card, hitting the Save button does nothing.

When I use a credit card on a site, Firefox prompts me to save the card, I confirm that I want to save it, yet it isn't saved.

Hi Fresh reinstall WIn10Pro home office pc -- want to ensure OS (WIn10pro x64) doesn't alter behind the scenes.

Want to prevent MScopilot or other rogue AI is not hiding changes unclear/unknown to user. Pc Admins and also PC std users

Have FF v140 syncing to a Msoutlook userid and have donated under that id. The donwloaded install was done via a private window as Edge had to be used.

New installs of everything. Full virus scans etc. latest updates. But still seems like MS trying to prevent using FF unaltered.

Is it best to set up a profile and then disconnect sync; then reset FF periodically and turn sync back on? Some IT people said they've done that for a while.

Are local windows users not supposed to be able to save FF settings?

Are we inviting in MS by syncing and/or donating to Mozilla / Firefox with outlook.com addresses?

Thanks.

Hi guys,

I connected my private crypto wallet to a fraudulent OKX scammer wallet extension, downloaded from your Firefox store couple of weeks ago. I deleted the wallet after I realized it's a scam but the scammers already drained my entire wallet afterwards, I lost approx. 14,000 USD.

I saw this warning too late: https://t.co/wSQv696SvM

Do you guys have any idea, where I can report this case or what I can do? I mean, I am quite sure that I am not the only one affected by this scam.

Thanks Marc

How can i force such sites to stay at the link-address ans open that properly instead of even trying to redirect?

Subject: OCSP Must-Staple Behavior Observations in Firefox (Including iOS Platform)

Dear Firefox Team,

We have been conducting tests involving certificates with the OCSP Must-Staple extension and would like to share several observations regarding Firefox’s behavior across different platforms:

General Compliance with Must-Staple: On most platforms, Firefox correctly enforces the Must-Staple extension. That is, if a certificate includes the Must-Staple flag and the web server fails to provide a stapled OCSP response, the connection is appropriately terminated.

Unexpected Behavior on iOS: However, we have observed that Firefox on iOS does not appear to enforce this requirement consistently. Even when the server does not provide a stapled OCSP response, the browser still establishes the TLS connection. We are unsure whether this is due to platform limitations or an implementation inconsistency.

Redundant OCSP Requests Despite Stapling: Additionally, we found that Firefox still initiates an OCSP request even when a valid stapled response has already been provided by the server. This behavior not only degrades performance but may also introduce privacy concerns, it contrary to the original privacy and efficiency goals of OCSP Stapling.

Looking for a way to configure the "Share the screen" permission present in permissions for individual sites via GPO. I am aware of this doc but I can't find anything for setting this permission. Specifically, to block it for all sites with an explicit allow list.

The "Preferences" option won't suffice as permissions are stored in permissions.sqllite and are not part of the about:config preferences. The "Permissions" grouping lacks... the majority of the possible site permissions as well.
