Hello,

The Firefox I was using was crushed entirely and lost all my passwords, bookmarks, etc. The app's folder is not accessible. Then I downloaded a new version, and when I tried to open the app, a dialogue box said Firefox was trying to install a helper. Cancel does not work, and the "OK" stops the opening. I have a Mac with an OS Sequoia 15.

I tried to transfer the json, place.., key4, etc by copying from the old information i have, but the system does not work.

Hi, Please help with my issue: There are 2 Firefox browsers running on my Windows 10 desktop. How can I find one to delete it. My CPU is running very high in Task Manager. Thanks, I just can't find it and I desperately need to do so before my computer crashes! Many thanks any help you can offer is very much appreciated :)

This is a privacy problem, because most of the time when I open a website like google.com, I don't want to be logged in so the website can identify me. I only keep a container tab for such a website around, so I can open it if I explicitly want to be logged in.

nord vpn from desktop icon gives the normal pop up in pic 1. next pic when you go to log in you get the with screen in pic 2. if you try log in from a link nord sent in trouble shooting you get pic 3. if you go to crap browsers like chrome and edge it works fine, but we are removing those programs next weeks for security reasons. so i need this to work on firefox. reinstalled nord with no fix. worked fine 11-2925 but not now 11-30-25

At the moment all websites accessed through Firefox are all crashing after a few minutes and often a lot less. It is happenig constantly. It started before I updated Firefox today, but has continued after the update. Anyone know what's happening? I'm still on Windows 10 - will that be an issue?

I just set up a computer with Debian 13 'Trixie', and I downloaded and installed the latest Firefox for Linux (version 145) from Mozilla's site.

Then I noticed at first that it wasn't following my GTK theme. Then after testing a bit, I discovered it would respect only themes with names that end in "-dark". I've taken some screenshots and attached them to demonstrate the problem.

firefox-esr from Debian's repositories didn't have this problem. But also, I've got another computer that still has an older distro (Debian 11) installed, and I'm running the latest firefox 145 on that too, and it always respects my GTK theme regardless of whether its name ends in "-dark". So, perhaps this is a GTK/GTK4 problem or something?

Does anyone know about this issue, can anyone help? I would really like Firefox to respect my choice of theme regardless of whether the theme's name ends with "-dark" or not.

I haven't been able to stream videos from the MS NOW website for the last 2 weeks. It has worked great for years. And it's only the MS NOW site, all other websites will play videos. I've tried tips from the web for 5 hours. Nothing worked. I've contacted MS NOW help, and they recommend a different web browser, but I'm happy with Firefox that I've been using for the past 12 years. So far I have: Reloaded the page Checked internet connection Restart browser Restart PC Cleared cache and cookies Disabled extensions Firefox is up to date Reset browser settings All graphics drivers are kept updated Scanned for malware Turned off Firewall Did a msdt.exe -id MaintenanceDiagnostic Disabled all non Microsoft startup sevices

My system: Win7 Home Premium 64 bit OS (very stable) Firefox version 115.30 COX provider

After installing the latest version of Firefox for Windows, if I have 3 firefox pages open (I have pages ungrouped on the task bar), when a download is in progress, it shows a progress bar on each of the pages as opposed to just on 1 page. Was this change made on purpose or by mistake?

Recently google's advanced search page changed from how it's been displayed for years -- seemingly only on firefox. And I hate the change. It still displays as always on DuckDuckGo and Safari. Firefox is my preferred browser, but I use goodle advanced search myriad times every day and this is changed version is such a PITA that it's approaching being a dealbreaker for me. Sure, I'd like to know wth happened and why, but really I just want google advanced search to return to my preferred display. (It does not just look different, it performs differently, in little ways that matter a lot to me over the multiple times I use it. Be glad to elucidate if it matters.) First attached image is what I'm now getting on ff. Second attached image is what I used to get on ff, and still get on DDG and Safari, and would like back on ff. Please help.

I’m not a great user of “forum solutions” simply because due to an accident and head trauma I have developed quite severe concentration issues, or lack of concentration issues however you would like to look at it.

So if you have an idea about my problem give it to me like I’m a 10 year old.

My situation started about three updates ago, and is as follows.

If I open up a new tab or I open up a link into a new tab or window that tab or window will often not scroll. I did eventually discovered that if I click on the “ reload current page” icon up on the toolbar it then scrolls with no issue whatsoever.

I do understand that this is not an end of the world situation, but is happening with greater frequency and it is an irritation which at times really starts to grind that every time I open a new tab I then have to reload that tab in order to get it to operate.

Suggestions welcome.

Like the title says. I've removed this (see img) page from history and tried hitting SHIFT + DEL with the suggestion highlighted, but it just persists. How can I get rid of it?

I can't tell if I've got a browser hijacker. I'm on an android phone on Firefox and using duckduckgo. I have avast antivirus, but the free version. And in the last 24 hours, sometimes when I type inquiries, usually if its a string of letters and numbers, it will redirect me to a website unrelated to my search. For instance, typing in mig23(looking up fighter jet), it won't do searches and instead will take me to some UK boat website. "OICE", a typo, takes me to a NASA OIIR website. It appears to be close to whatever I typed in, but also doesn't happen every single time. This doesn't happen on my other devices, but it also doesn't happen when I use google in Firefox. However, it is possible that this happened on my laptop but I do not have access to it right now.

I am always in fear of viruses and I desperately want this to be a computer glitch. I cleared the DNS cache, I deleted some files and apps and rebooted and its still happening! I don't know what file could've done it.

On a new computer, I entered a new Mozilla password, and Mozilla on new computer won't sync with my old bookmarks, which still are on old computer.

Sync doesn't add these bookmarks.

Both computers now sign in with new PW. I can't go back to old PW (doesn't have current standards).

How to get sync to work, and get my bookmarks on new computer?

how can a firefox145 (on Win11) update be rolled back?

it seems update 145.0.2 has killed all audio in firefox. Other browsers and programs have functioning audio. But nothing restores audio in FireFox after the update. I have closed and re-started FF - even hot and cold reboots of the machine. It is clearly a FF issue. The only solution appears to be a roll back, unless there is a preferences line that might have been shifted.

in the last three days or so, the pop up window in FF where I would find the copy, paste etc has its script disapearing. it shows some space in black, and if I hit it just right I can still open a new window for example, even tho the script for that programming is no longer there. does anybody have an idea? I am fully updated mint user, it is starting to be bother some, do I need to deinstall/reinstally?, I would prefer not to, sigh, but I certainly wouldn't want to do it if it won't fix the issue Thank you for any suggestions

Hi community The option to set, how many rows of shortcuts should be visible on the Firefox start screen, is a good idea. E.g. I set 3 rows and fill them with relevant shortcuts. The shortcuts in the bottom row always changes when I visit several websites. My understanding is: Setting the shortcuts as necessary and that's it! Wtf happens, that the last row changes all the time, that makes me fussy. regards wolf

Social Security just stopped me from downloading my 2026 COLA on Firefox with an error 400 (bad request), but I was able to do it on Edge. More and more websites, particularly financial and government websites, work with Edge but not Firefox. And when I call their customer services, their first response is "try another browser!" Why do they hate Firefox?

If someone wants me to walk them through an example of the problem(s), I can do that when I pull statements or pay bills on those websites. The worst example is Synchrony Bank, which runs several credit cards I use. You may contact me by email at [email removed]@att.net (put FIREFOX PROBLEM in the title so I don't miss it).

I also have Mozilla VPN, and some things only work when I turn off the VPN, so that may be compounding the incompatibility. Although I am in Eugene (OR), the closest location for my VPN is Seattle.
