Hi all,

Version 153 in general seems to be more buggy than previous.

• The most affected bug now is opening links in new tabs will endlessly show the loading animation in the favicon tab area, and the page will be blank failing to load the content.

• No choice but to restart Firefox in order for it to function again.

• Also, every time relaunching Firefox gives the "Firefox is already running" message pop up.

• This started happening after updating to version 153.

After being nagged to update to the latest version of Firefox, i did so thinking all the windows and tabs would be restored. I have been thru multiple updates with with no problems in the past. I have been through most of the self help but nothing works. The restore last session is greyed out.

I do not speak geek.

When I drag a URL from the browser to the desktop, clicking on it triggers a prompt, saying "Do you want to open this file". If I look at the general tab in the properties of the link, it says "This file came from another computer and might be blocked to help protect this computer". This happens on both of my windows 10 computers since they upgraded to the latest version of Firefox (153.0.1.) I need to check the "unblock" option in the link properties to unblock the link. This does not occur with other browsers.

During the last 2 weeks, I have been unable to view and use my AOL emails, for the login page demands that I enter my mozilla primary password--the existence of which was unknown to me and thus, I never knew what it was and never had to use it in any way. I assume one was set when I began tom use firefox probably back in 2016. My big problem is that I must be able to use my AOL email system to complete various essential needs, How can I fix this idiocy that apparently places some kind of security above sane simplicity and ease of use for normal people who are not computer or Internet experts?

Anytime that I open a pdf using firefox the page will load but will just leave a blank page with nothing displayed. Reloading does not help and I have tried to change my settings around to no avail

Hello Mozilla Support, I am getting Error 526 when I try to open YouTube in Firefox. Other websites work normally, but YouTube does not open. I have already checked my internet connection and restarted Firefox, but the problem still exists. Please help me fix this issue.

I use Firefox Desktop as my primary browser for running a corporate consultancy agency. Recently, I've noticed an issue with Firefox's built-in PDF reader (pdf.js) on certain official interactive forms.

When downloading, previewing, and filling out business registration forms, MOA templates, or tax certificates from corporate web portals (such as the SECP Portal Pakistan for company name search and FBR verification tools), certain custom font fields in the PDF appear overlapped or fail to display input text properly.

System Details:

Firefox Version: Latest Desktop Release (Windows 11) Issue: Form text fields in interactive PDFs fail to render non-standard font glyphs properly. I wanted to ask:

Is there a specific preference in about:config to force Firefox's PDF.js viewer to fallback to system fonts for interactive form fields? Is there a way to reset pdf.js rendering cache without clearing general site cookies and sessions for web applications? Any troubleshooting tips or about:config tweaks would be greatly appreciated. The Nvidia manual driver download page fails to complete loading, i,e, starts looping every 4 seconds never completing to select a driver download.

I'm running W10 with the extended MS security update.

Have had no issues like this previously in 2026 up to July 2026.

I have two files with the given content:

one.pdf .. the book jane eyre two.pdf .. the book adam bede

I go to https://duck.ai/chat and press the paperclip icon to upload a file. I upload one.pdf. I ask the AI to analyse it. It says it's jane eyre. This is correct.

On my disk, I rename one.pdf to one.old.pdf and rename two.pdf to one.pdf. I then ask the AI to reanalyse the file. It says its adam bede, which one.pdf now is, so that's correct too.

Under my understanding, if I upload something using HTML, it's uploaded. What I'm seeing above is the AI dynamically reaching into my hard drive and reading the current file. Note: I never uploaded a file containing adam bede, nor did I consent for it to be read by the AI.

What is going on there?
